Under The Forbidden Skate Ramp: Wellington Street Exchange is my tribute to one of Perth’s most iconic buildings; the Telstra Building on Wellington Street. Everybody knows the iconic ramp on top of the building, but the stunning 70s modernist/brutalist elements at street-level are often overlooked. 

Made entirely of cast concrete, this free-standing piece is perfect for bringing a piece of Perth's underappreciated architecture into your own home!

This is a limited edition run of 30 pieces, each accompanied by a signed, numbered certificate of authenticity.

 

Important notes on this piece:

Each piece is handmade to order with a lead time of about 2-3 weeks.

As these are handcrafted items, minor imperfections are inherent, much like in real architectural concrete buildings, adding character and realism.

These sculptures are made of solid cast concrete and are quite heavy. They include a hole in the back for wall hanging with a long, solidly mounted wall screw. But please take care if wall hanging and ensure your wall/mounting method are suitable due to the weight of this piece.
They also include a threaded hole on the back near the bottom for securing the included support stand to prevent tipping if displayed free-standing.

Paper and Canvas Prints are printed to order at Arts Edge Gallery in Edgewater, WA. If you have placed an order and not received a tracking number or pick-up confirmation, don't panic! It may still be in the printing queue.

Please allow 2-5 days for processing and 7-20 days for printing/shipping for Australian orders. International orders may take longer.

 

SCULPTURES:

Sculptures are made to order and may take up to 2 weeks before available for postage or collection.
Australia-wide shipping is now available for all small sculptures.
International post not yet available.
Each sculpture will be carefully packed using 100% recycled/recyclable materials - including custom box, recyclable tape and labels, hex wrap and kraft paper.
Large sculptures cannot currently be posted, but are available for local collection at Arts Edge Gallery.

 

LOCAL PICK-UP (Fine-art prints & sculptures):

If you live in Perth and would like to save on shipping costs, Arts Edge Gallery offer direct pick-up from their store in Edgewater of both fine-art prints and sculptures. Just select "Pick up" at checkout.
