Forbidden Skate Ramp

Forbidden Skate Ramp is my tribute to one of Perth’s most iconic buildings; the Telstra Building on Wellington Street. Almost everyone heading into the city has had the same thought when they see that mysterious slope on the roof. This piece started life as a tongue-in-cheek digital artwork, poking fun at that universal idea. But beyond the obvious joke, the Telstra Building is an incredible piece of 1970s design and a reminder of Perth’s hidden modernist gems worth preserving. Iwan Iwanoff Tributes (Sculpture)

These sculptures are part of an ongoing collection that pays tribute to the visionary works of Perth architect Iwan Iwanoff. Initially, this project began out of personal admiration for his distinctive besser block designs. Unable to afford to live in one of his homes, my compromise was to create these pieces to surround myself with the beauty of his architecture. Inspired by Iwanoff's work and Warren Anderson's dedication to highlighting Iwanoff's legacy through his book 'The Architecture of Iwan Iwanoff', my goal shifted from a personal project to an effort of doing my own small part in raising more awareness...
